Issued by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe on 1 August 2006 as a bearer cheque, valid on or before 31 July 2007 and signed by Governor Gideon Gono. The front is largely text, with the bank's emblem on the left. The back shows the conical tower at Great Zimbabwe framed by trees. Bearer cheques were issued in place of conventional banknotes as inflation escalated, and this series followed a revaluation that removed three zeros.

What it boughtIn January 2006 a US dollar cost about Z$100,000 on the market, so this bearer cheque was worth roughly ten US cents.
