Back

Issued by the National Bank of Yugoslavia in 1993, during the hyperinflation that followed the break-up of the federation. The front shows the scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla (1856 to 1943) beside the bank's monogram. The back pictures the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade, a grand corner building identified by its printed caption. Within months the rising prices had made the note almost worthless.
