Issued by the National Bank of Yugoslavia and dated 1 May 1987, this note shows a coal miner wearing a helmet with a lamp, beside the federal coat of arms of burning torches. The back features a large bucket-wheel excavator of the kind used in open-cast mining, with the name SFR Jugoslavija. It appeared as inflation was rising through the late 1980s.
