Issued by the National Bank of Yugoslavia in 1992, this note shows a portrait of the scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla (1856 to 1943) beside the bank's monogram. The back depicts electrical discharges radiating from a sphere, a reference to his work on high-voltage electricity. It dates from the period when Yugoslavia had been reduced to Serbia and Montenegro and inflation was accelerating rapidly.
