Issued in 1944 by Democratic Federal Yugoslavia, the state formed by Tito's partisan movement during the Second World War. The front shows a partisan soldier with a rifle over his shoulder, framed by the names of Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The back carries the value in several languages and scripts with the early emblem of torches beneath a star.
