Issued by the Banco Central de Venezuela and dated September 1989, this red note shows Simón Bolívar and Francisco de Miranda on the front, with the National Pantheon in Caracas and the national coat of arms on the back. Inflation in the 1990s rendered these low-value notes obsolete, and they survive in large numbers in uncirculated condition.
