A 25-som note from the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated 1994. The front shows the state emblem within a field of interlacing blue ornament. The back shows a group of domed mausoleums with tiled facades on a hillside, the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis in Samarkand. The ensemble grew up between the 11th and 15th centuries, with many of its tombs built for the family and court of Timur.
