A 100-som note from the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated 1994. The front shows the state emblem between two winged mythical beasts, with roundels of decorative birds at the side. The back shows a large modern public building with a broad paved square and a tall column in front, framed by star-shaped patterns. The 1994 series introduced the som in its current form, replacing the transitional coupon notes of 1992 and 1993.
