A 10,000-shilling note from the Bank of Uganda's series introduced in 2010. The front shows the Independence Monument in Kampala, a sculpture of a figure raising a child, with a waterfall in the background and the national coat of arms. The back shows an outline map of Uganda marked with the equator, a bunch of bananas on a plant, and a carved figure. The series replaced earlier designs with improved security features.
