A 250,000-lira note issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey in 1998, under the legal clause of Law No. 1211 of 14 January 1970. The front shows Mustafa Kemal Atatürk against a geometric pattern. The back shows the Kızılkule, or Red Tower, at Alanya, named on the note, rising above the harbour with houses and trees on the hillside. The octagonal tower was built in the 13th century under the Seljuk sultan Alaeddin Keykubad.
