A one-million-lira note issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey in 2002, a later version of the 1995 design. The front shows Mustafa Kemal Atatürk against geometric patterns, with the legal clause of Law No. 1211 of 14 January 1970. The back shows the Atatürk Dam on the Euphrates, captioned Şanlıurfa and Adıyaman, with its curving embankment and reservoir. Six zeros were removed from the lira in 2005, making this note worth one new lira.
