A one-million-lira note issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey in 1995, under the legal clause of Law No. 1211 of 14 January 1970. The front shows Mustafa Kemal Atatürk against geometric patterns. The back shows the Atatürk Dam on the Euphrates near Şanlıurfa, named on the note, with its curving embankment and reservoir. The dam, completed in 1990, is the centrepiece of the Southeastern Anatolia Project for irrigation and power.
