A 100-rouble note from the National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan, dated 1994, from the country's first rouble series. One side shows the parliament building in Dushanbe with the national flag flying above it. The other carries the state emblem, with a crown, stars and ears of wheat and cotton, beside the value written in decorative script. Tajikistan's own rouble circulated from 1995 until the somoni replaced it in 2000.
