The front shows a seated portrait of Chiang Kai-shek with vignettes of schoolchildren and an agricultural scene, and the back depicts the Presidential Office Building in Taipei with orchids. This New Taiwan dollar note bears the plate date Republic of China year 90 (2001) and was issued as part of the 2000s series, but the 200 dollar denomination never circulated widely.
