A one-pound note from The Royal Bank of Scotland Limited, dated 19 March 1969 in Edinburgh. The front shows the Forth Road Bridge, opened in 1964, with the older Forth railway bridge visible beyond it. The back carries the bank's coat of arms, supported by a horse and a stag beneath the motto 'Firm'. The note was printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson and Co. in the year the bank merged with the National Commercial Bank of Scotland.
