Nigeria · 1973–78
This note from the first naira series shows the Central Bank of Nigeria headquarters building in Lagos on the front, with an inscription in Ajami script. The back shows workers carrying sacks to the groundnut pyramids of Kano. Nigeria introduced the series in 1973, when it decimalised and replaced the Nigerian pound.
