A 25 centavos de córdoba note from the Banco Central de Nicaragua, part of the 1991 series of fractional notes printed by Harrison and Sons. The front shows Francisco Hernández de Córdoba, the Spanish conquistador after whom the currency is named. The back shows the national arms of Nicaragua, with five volcanoes inside a triangle, beside a flowering plant. The series followed the currency reform that ended the hyperinflation of the late 1980s.
