A De Nederlandsche Bank 25 gulden note dated Amsterdam 20 May 1940. It shows a portrait of a young girl in an ornate lace collar after a seventeenth-century Dutch painting, beside guilloché rosettes. The reverse carries the criminal code warning against counterfeiting. Dated just days after the German invasion, it was printed by Joh. Enschedé en Zonen and circulated during the occupation.
