A 5 kyats note from the Central Bank of Myanmar, issued in 1996. The front shows a chinthe, the guardian lion figure that stands at the entrances of Burmese pagodas, beside the value in Burmese script. The back shows a group of young men playing chinlone, the traditional Burmese game in which a woven cane ball is kept in the air with the feet, knees and head, beneath a spreading tree.
