A 1 tögrög note from the Bank of Mongolia's 1993 series, issued after the end of the communist period. The front shows a mythical lion, or snow lion, inside a circular frame, with an inscription in traditional Mongolian script. The back shows the national emblem, which includes the Soyombo symbol, set in a fine geometric pattern, with the words 'Монгол Улс' and 'Монголбанк' in Cyrillic.
