1000 kwacha
Malawi · 2024
The front carries a portrait of Dr Hastings Kamuzu Banda, Malawi's first president, beside the Kamuzu Mausoleum and a fish motif. The back shows a maize cob and the Mzuzu maize silos, reflecting maize's role as Malawi's staple crop. The design belongs to the Reserve Bank of Malawi's series introduced in 2012, and this note is a later 2024-dated printing.
