A 250 livres note from the Banque du Liban, issued between 1978 and 1988 during the years of civil war. The front shows Roman ruins at Tyre, with a monumental triumphal arch and a long row of columns lining an ancient road. The back shows a small ruined classical temple of stone columns standing on a platform in an open landscape. The note was printed by Thomas De La Rue.
