10 yen
Japan · 1946
A wartime Bank of Japan 10 yen (Pick 51) with the blue 1946 certificate stamp, or shōshi, in the top right corner. The stickers revalidated old notes during the currency exchange of February and March 1946, when there were not yet enough new notes to go round. Stamped notes are catalogued separately as Pick 79b.
