The front shows the island's coat of arms of three lions within a seal inscribed in Latin, flanked by two cornucopias of flowers. The back shows Castle Cornet, the harbour fortress at St Peter Port, framed by overhanging leaves. The note was printed by Bradbury Wilkinson in England.
