Issued by the Bank of Ghana and dated 6 March 1982. The front shows a miner wearing a helmet with a lamp, alongside a large five-pointed star from the national flag and a carved figure on the left. The back shows a worker among angled timber poles, framed by geometric patterns. Notes of this series were issued during a period of economic difficulty, and the cedi lost value rapidly through the 1980s.
