A Notgeld (emergency money) note issued by the Thuringian town of Zeulenroda and dated 31 December 1921. The front shows the town arms, a crowned lion above a wall, beneath a verse urging citizens to help end the nation's hardship, and the back depicts the great old lime tree at Wolschendorf with a rhyme about neighbourly unity. Like most German collector Notgeld of the post-war inflation period, it is not listed in the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money but in specialist Notgeld catalogues.
