Emergency money from the savings bank of Uelzen in Lower Saxony, from its 'Uhlenköper' series. The front shows an owl in front of the town's skyline and the back the town arms between trees, with a note that the voucher lapsed on 1 July 1922. Uhlenköper, or owl-buyers, is the old nickname for the people of Uelzen, from a local folk tale.
