A Notgeld (emergency money) note from the town of Perleberg in Brandenburg, part of a series illustrated with scenes and verses introduced by 'Es war einmal'. The front shows an overflowing purse of coins before the town skyline and the town arms, and the back shows the Perleberger Viehversicherung building framed by trees. Issued during the post-war coin shortage, it was valid until 31 December 1921 and was widely produced for collectors.
