A Notgeld (emergency money) cheque-style note issued by the town treasury of Hohenfriedeberg in Silesia (now Dobromierz, Poland), showing the Protestant church on the front and a panoramic view of the town and surrounding hills on the back. Such small-change notes were issued by German municipalities during the coin shortages after the First World War. They are catalogued in the specialist Notgeld references rather than the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money.
