A First World War emergency money (Notgeld) voucher issued by the town council (Magistrat) of Eisleben and dated 1 June 1917. It shows the town's coat of arms with a crested helm between ornate '50' corner panels, was printed by Adolf Forker of Leipzig, and has a blank reverse. Such local notes were issued to relieve the wartime shortage of small change; this one is catalogued in German Notgeld references rather than the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money.
