10 pfennig
City of Eckartsberga · Germany · 1921
Notgeld voucher for ten pfennig issued by the town of Eckartsberga in Thuringia, dated 1 April 1921 and signed by the Magistrat and the town councillors, with the municipal seal at the centre. The reverse shows the medieval Eckartsburg castle above the forest, with Luther's hymn line 'Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott', typical of the collectable local emergency money produced in Germany after the First World War.
