Notgeld (emergency money) voucher issued by the Hanover Chamber of Commerce, with the issuing text and signatures on one side and a coloured view of old buildings along the River Leine (Leinepartie) on the other, printed by J. C. König & Ebhardt of Hanover. Such local notes were issued in post-war Germany to relieve a shortage of small change and were redeemable for a limited period after a public call-in.
