An emergency necessity note jointly issued by the chambers of commerce of Avignon, Marseille and Nîmes to ease the shortage of small change after the First World War. The front shows olive branches and a vine with grapes beneath the three presidents' signatures, and the back shows a map of Provence and the Mediterranean coast with a notice that the notes had to be redeemed before 31 December 1922.
