A First World War emergency note issued by the Bayonne Chamber of Commerce under its resolution of 22 May 1916. It was exchangeable for Banque de France notes and redeemable until 1 June 1921. The back, headed Département des Basses-Pyrénées, shows the arms of Bayonne and Pau either side of the Chamber's octagonal seal depicting sailing ships.
