This is a wartime French timber ration voucher (Bon-Matière), not a banknote. It was issued by the Wood Section of the Vichy-era Office Central de Répartition des Produits Industriels for two units of wood measured by cubic metre, stere, tonne or piece, with a list of timber categories on the reverse. It carries the issuing official's signature and punched perforation cancellations.
