This is not a banknote but a Vichy-era wartime ration coupon (coupure de bon-matière) for one unit of wood or wood products, issued in 1942 by the Section du Bois of the Office Central de Répartition des Produits Industriels. The reverse lists the official timber categories, with a timber merchant's stamp 'Au Bûcheron' of Gentilly (Seine), and the perforations show it was cancelled after use.
