Central Office for the Distribution of Industrial Products · France · 1941–49
FrontBack
A 'Monnaie Matières' allocation voucher for one kilogram of ordinary cast steel and iron products, showing a worker swinging a sledgehammer beside a cog-wheel denomination emblem, with endorsement boxes and a company stamp on the reverse. These material-rationing coupons were issued by France's central office for the distribution of industrial products to control scarce raw materials during and after the Second World War, and are not true banknotes, so they carry no standard Pick number.
