Not a true banknote but a 'Monnaie Matière' material-rationing voucher from the French industrial allocation office's ferrous metals section, entitling the holder to 1 kilo of ordinary steel and valid until 30 June 1945. The reverse carries endorsement stamps from a transport firm in Pontrieux and Rolland Frères of Lannion in Brittany, showing how these allocation tickets passed between businesses during wartime and post-Liberation shortages.
