A 25 dinara note from the Croatian dinar series dated Zagreb, 8 October 1991, issued by the newly independent Republic of Croatia. The front shows Ruđer Bošković (1711 to 1787), the Dubrovnik-born scientist and mathematician, alongside his geometric and astronomical diagrams and the Croatian chequerboard shield. The back shows Zagreb Cathedral with its twin spires. The Croatian dinar served as a transitional currency until the kuna was introduced in 1994.
