2000 yuan
Republic of China · China · 1946
A Central Bank of China note from the Nationalist government's post-war issue. The front shows a portrait of Chiang Kai-shek in military uniform, and the back depicts the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing. It was printed abroad during the rampant inflation of the late 1940s, which soon made such denominations near worthless.
