A brown 1000 yuan note of the Central Bank of China, showing a portrait of Sun Yat-sen on the front and the Kuomintang sun emblem with large denomination numerals on the back. It was printed in the United States by the Security Banknote Company and issued during the severe wartime and post-war inflation of the Nationalist era.
