A 100 yuan note of the Central Bank of China dated 1941 and printed by the Security Banknote Company in the United States. The Chinese side shows a portrait of Sun Yat-sen beside an ornate central value panel with red seal stamps. The English side is purely decorative, with large 100 numerals in guilloche frames. It was issued during the Second Sino-Japanese War, when wartime spending drove rapid inflation.
