A 100 yuan note dated 1943 from the Central Reserve Bank of China, the bank of the Japanese-backed Wang Jingwei government in Nanjing. The front shows a portrait of Sun Yat-sen between ornate value panels. The back, in English, shows the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing with its long flight of steps, flanked by large 100 numerals. These notes circulated in occupied central and eastern China during the Second Sino-Japanese War.
