A 1 jiao note dated 1962 from the third series of the People's Bank of China. The front shows a group of men and women workers carrying hoes, rakes and baskets as they walk past fields and buildings. The back carries an ornate floral design around the numeral 1, with the national emblem and the bank's name in Mongolian, Tibetan, Uyghur and Zhuang scripts. The third series remained in circulation for several decades.
