50 roubles
Belarus · 2000
Issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus in 2000, after the redenomination of that year. The front shows the star-shaped entrance to the Brest Hero-Fortress memorial, with a tree and visitors walking through. The back shows the fortress's brick Kholm Gate with its turrets, flanked by fir trees. The fortress is remembered for its defence against the German invasion in June 1941.
