An emergency note (Notgeld) issued by the municipality of Rannariedl an der Donau in Upper Austria, dated 20 June 1920 and marked as the second printing. The green front shows a hilltop castle framed in an oval, flanked by large figures of the value. The back carries a printed promise to exchange the note for legal tender until 31 December 1920. Small towns across Austria issued such notes after the First World War, when coins were scarce.
