Austrian Notgeld emergency voucher issued by the municipality of Garsten in Upper Austria, showing the twin-towered church of the former Garsten Abbey on the front and the pilgrimage church of Christkindl near Steyr on the back. Like many small Austrian local issues of the post-war inflation period, it was one of a series of vouchers up to 100,000 kronen in total, valid until two months after issue. These notes were widely collected at the time and are not listed in the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money.
