Austrian emergency money (Notgeld) issued by the market town of Wieselburg an der Erlauf, showing a view of 'Wiselpurg' as it appeared in 1672 alongside an armoured halberdier, with the town arms in an ornate baroque cartouche on the other side. It was valid until 31 December 1920 and is typical of the small-change vouchers issued by Austrian municipalities during the post-war coin shortage and inflation.
