Austrian Notgeld (emergency money) issued by the town of Dürnstein on the Danube, showing a view of the town with its baroque abbey church tower and the castle ruins where Richard the Lionheart was held captive, framed by vine-leaf ornament and patriotic verses. It is valid until 31 October 1920 and printed on one side only, as was common for the small-change notes issued by Austrian municipalities after the First World War.
