Post-war 5 schilling note of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, part of the first series issued after the schilling was reintroduced in 1945. Dated 4 September 1945, the front shows the physiologist Ernst Wilhelm von Brücke with a pair of compasses, and the back shows the terraced iron-ore workings of the Erzberg near Eisenerz in Styria.
